Whose Egg?
Many couples choose Reciprocal IVF where both partners play an important role.
In this procedure, the egg from one partner is fertilized by either an anonymous or known sperm donor. The resulting embryo is then transferred to the other partner.
Oftentimes, the egg quality and quantity need to be considered and we can fully evaluate each partner’s current fertility in our office. At Dominion Fertility, we are open to listening to how you would like to plan your family in a caring and supportive way.
Whose Sperm?
This is up to the couple or individual to decide.
Many patients decide to use sperm banks with fully screened sperm donors. They provide a full profile with medical and personal history.
You may also choose a known donor and we can screen them medically in our office – the choice is up to you.

Whose Egg?
Most couples choose an anonymous egg donor from our in-house database. However, there are other options, including a frozen egg bank or a known donor.
We are prepared to work with whatever option you choose and will carefully help you review the pros and cons of each decision.
Whose Sperm?
Your physician at Dominion Fertility will evaluate each partner to determine their sperm health. This includes sperm quantity, quality, and morphology.
After a full evaluation, your physician will counsel you on your best options.
Gestational Carrier?
The term gestational carrier (Surrogate), refers to the woman who will carry your child. The surrogate has no biological connection to the baby and her eggs are not used.
You can either choose from our list of reputable gestational carrier agencies or choose a known gestational carrier (such as a relative or friend).
Whether she is from an agency, a relative, or a friend, Dominion Fertility will perform a full medical evaluation prior to embryo transfer.
Transgender patients
Dominion Fertility can assist our trans patients with either fertility preservation or treatment options to build their family. We will evaluate each individual or couple and make a personalized treatment plan that works for them.
Fertility options for trans patients at Dominion Fertility can include egg freezing, IVF, gestational surrogacy and more.
We are here for you no matter what your needs are and are proud to offer personalized service that treats you and your partner with the support and respect that you deserve.
