Overview

Dr. Jaime Roura is a board-certified obstetrician gynecologist who joined Dominion Fertility in 2021 as a Clinical Fellow after practicing obstetrics & gynecology in Maryland and in Indiana. In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Roura is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, where he performs basic science research on uterine fibroids under the mentorship of Dr. William H. Catherino. He also lectures to residents and medical students at Georgetown University. He is fluent in English and Spanish and is proficient in French. He currently sees patients in Arlington and Bethesda.

Education and Training

Dr. Jaime Roura graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Mathematics from Tufts University. He completed M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Puerto Rico and graduated magna cum laude with a M.D. degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. He then completed residency in obstetrics & gynecology at the University of Puerto Rico. During residency he fulfilled the position of chief resident in charge of academic matters. He received resident research awards and outstanding in-training examination awards during residency.

Affiliations and Privileges

Dr. Roura is actively involved in medical education and research. He lectures at Georgetown University to residents and medical students. He holds the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He maintains hospital privileges at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA.
